Junior Motion Graphics Designer

Job Purpose

In the creative role of Junior Motion Graphics Designer, you will be responsible for working with the New York team and a wider global team of designers to create graphics for trailers, digital outdoor, social media, feature, and TV title sequences. You will need to be primarily skilled in 2D design/animation with knowledge and experience in rotoscoping and compositing, with interest in 3D modelling/animation and a desire and passion to continually improve and develop.

This is a highly collaborative role with opportunities to get involved in a huge variety of exciting projects. You’ll learn new things, maybe teach us a few, and most importantly make your creative mark. You will be joining a company of like-minded individuals and are expected to be self-motivated, creative, driven, and possess a willingness to go the extra mile.

This is an in-person role based in our New York City (Manhattan) office.

KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES​
  • Creatively interpreting project briefs
  • Using Creative Cloud applications to execute motion design briefs
  • Brainstorming and collaborating with producers, editors, and creative directors
  • Research and development
  • Putting together mood boards and presentations
  • Assisting in research and development of projects; sharing exciting new creative references with the team.
  • Problem-solving and coming up with creative solutions to new challenges
  • Working to deadlines and communicating with producers regarding timelines
  • Working with teams in our global offices (London, Amsterdam, LA and Melbourne)
  • Keeping up-to-date with design trends and developing and learning new skills and software
  • Filling weekly time sheet by recording daily time spent per individual projects
  • Assisting Motion Design team with project and asset management
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS​
  • Proven experience working in a bust and fast paced creative environment.
  • Creative thinking, curiosity, and passion for Motion Design and 2D Animation
  • An understanding of Motion Design workflows across trailers, socials, opening title sequences and idents, and
  • wider post-production workflows
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Good level in After Effects
  • Tracking, rotoscoping and composting
  • Good time management with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously and keep a level head under
  • pressure in a reactive environment with quick turnaround times
  • Collaborative with the ability to work well as part of a team and create strong working relationships
  • A calm and professional manner
  • A proactive problem solver with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Fast learner and adaptable
  • Focused and self-motivated
  • This is an in-person role based in London.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in a trailer house, design agency, or creative agency.
  • Relevant degree (technical or related creative field)
  • Other Creative Cloud applications (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.)
  • Cinema 4D
  • Mocha
